July 2011
Dear Parents,
Welcome to the beginning of a new school year! The PTSO thanks you for the continued financial support you.ve given for our student and staff programs. Last year, your generous contributions enabled us to finance the following items at Saratoga High School:
Our Just Do It (JDI) campaign asks each family to donate $150.00 toward the PTSO programs which benefit our students. Your $150.00 donation includes PTSO membership, a copy of the school directory and the Saratoga High Falcon Newspaper. But wait - there's more! All JDI members are invited to a special evening event to be held on February 10th, 2012.
You can also join by purchasing a basic membership for a $50.00 fee. Basic membership
includes a copy of the school directory. You can also purchase the Falcon newspaper separately.

Saratoga High School has been ranked #37 in the recently released U.S. News and World Report "Best High Schools for Math and Science". U.S. News and World Report has been publishing "Best High School" rankings since 2007 but this was the first ranking of schools specifically for math and science. Saratoga High.s ranking reflects the hard work of students and teachers and is a commendable achievement. Congratulations!!!
The rankings evaluate over 20,000 public high schools across the country and provide a picture of how well public schools are serving all of their students, both in terms of basic skills proficiency and college preparedness. This new Math and Science ranking also takes into consideration scores on Advanced Placement (AP) tests in math and science.
